Lucy Davis's journey is a testament to the power of following one's passion and adapting to change. From her dedication to swimming at an international level to her successful transition into the fitness industry, Lucy's story is one of perseverance, hard work, and a genuine desire to help others achieve their fitness goals.
Early Life and Swimming Career
Hailing from Manchester, UK, Lucy Davis displayed a talent for sports from a young age. Her competitive spirit led her to swimming, where she quickly excelled, reaching an international level. Driven to improve her results, Lucy trained rigorously, sometimes up to 9 times per week. This intense training regimen led to a decrease in her weight, from 55 to 50 kg. However, despite her dedication, her swimming performance plateaued, and she gradually lost her passion for the sport. From the young age of 10, right up until she was 18 years old Lucy's life revolved around swimming. Moving from club to club, coach to coach, she saw her performance improve every time she competed. At thirteen, she was the quickest swimmer in the pool across multiple events (Individual Medley being top of the bunch). She was so happy and cheerful all the time and felt unstoppable when she was racing. Even though she did achieve personal best times from sixteen years old to finishing swimming at eighteen, her heart fell out of love with the sport - and this should never be the case with any sport you participate in.
Transition to Weightlifting and Fitness
Although she'd quit swimming, Lucy’s passion for physical activity remained, which led her to start weight training. After realizing that swimming was draining her both mentally and physically, Lucy decided to quit the sport and focus on weightlifting instead. She transitioned from swimming 9 times a week to working out in the gym 5-7 times a week, with the goal of achieving a healthier and stronger physique. "Essentially, I went from one lifestyle to another - two completely different in fact." Since she wasn’t familiar with the concepts of bodybuilding, Lucy thought that the more she trained in the gym, the better the results would be, just like in swimming. Not only that, she also started researching more about nutrition. She soon found that she needed to increase her calories from protein in order to tone her muscles.
Building a Fitness Career
Lucy's passion for weightlifting led her to pursue a career in the fitness industry. Lucy says fitness has completely changed her life for the better. Furthermore, Lucy has also grown a career from her passion for lifting weights. Lucy says this new lifestyle is very rewarding for her. Recognizing the growing online fitness community, Lucy started her YouTube channel in April/May 2017 and focused on building her Instagram presence. Instagram quickly became her favorite platform due to the high level of engagement she received. In August 2017, Lucy published her first e-book, "12 Weeks to the Perfect Peach," which has been ordered 1465 times since then, resulting in $20267.86 revenue. She attributes the success of her guide to her approachability on social media, replying to as many messages and comments as possible, and the transformations she displays on her social media channels.
Training and Diet
Lucy likes to keep her training sessions organized and planned in advance. She trains with weights 6 times per week. Lucy also does cardio separately, 3-4 times per week. Thanks to her experience from swimming, Lucy has learned that more is not always better. “Training for me isn’t just about throwing the weights around, hitting PBs, changing my physique, it’s about how it changes every aspect of my life. Unlike with her training, Lucy doesn’t keep a strict plan around her diet. As for some general numbers, Lucy consumes about 2,000kcal per day. Roughly 40% of her calories come from carbs, 35% from proteins, and 25% from fat. One food group that Lucy avoids is dairy. Lucy likes to keep her training sessions organized and planned in advance. When training body parts, she nearly always start with multijoint moves first as her energy levels are highest.

Online Coaching and "12 Weeks to the Perfect Peach"
Lucy's dedication to helping others achieve their fitness goals led her to start online coaching on January 29th. She is currently fully booked with clients and is selective about who she takes on, as she wants the best for them. Lucy began online coaching on the 29th of January this year and I am currently fully booked with clients and this is so exciting for me. I am quite specific with who I take on as a client, as I want the best for them (all female). Lucy Davis was an excellent swimmer throughout her youth, representing England in international contests. However, after years of taking part in the sport, she grew tired of it, both mentally and physically. What her story tells us, is that sometimes you’ll lose passion for things that you once enjoyed, and that’s perfectly fine. You should follow your gut instinct and do what your heart tells you. The former swimmer and fitness enthusiast Lucy Davis is now selling a 12- week plan for you to follow and reach your goal of having the perfect legs and peach. Back in August 2017, you published your first e-book “12 Weeks to the Perfect Peach” on Sellfy. Since then it has been ordered 1465 times, resulting in $20267.86 revenue. What do you think are your main keys to success with this product? I think one of the biggest successes for the guide is that I make myself as approachable as possible on social media, so girls feel like they know me before purchasing the guide. I reply to as many messages/comments as I can. The fact that I can also promote the guide on multiple platforms essentially creates a snowball effect. And because it is a fitness guide, the transformations I display on my social media channels increase sales.
Keys to Success in the Fitness Industry
Lucy emphasizes the importance of having a genuine passion for a healthy lifestyle and providing valuable content to others. I would always say don’t think about yourself or making money. You should be in the industry because you have a true passion for a healthy lifestyle. I also think providing content for people that is going to be highly beneficial to others is a massive one for me.
University Studies
Lucy is currently in her final year at university studying for a BA Honours degree in business management.
