Paige DeSorbo's Weight Loss Journey: Embracing Self-Care and a Healthy Lifestyle

Following her breakup from Craig Conover in late December 2024, Paige DeSorbo has embarked on a journey of self-discovery and prioritizing her health. The Summer House star has been exploring new facets of her life and learning more about herself along the way.

Discovering the Benefits of Single Life

On a January 21 episode of her podcast, Giggly Squad, Paige discussed with co-host Hannah Berner how some women feel obligated to "fix" their partners, often neglecting their own needs in the process. Paige noted that being single has allowed her to focus on her own wants and needs. She stated, "I think that's why being single is so healthy because you get to learn what you want, what you need."

Paige revealed that being single has led her to realize new things about herself, particularly regarding her fitness routine. "I've only been single for a couple months, but already, just in terms of my single life [and] my own personal life, I never wanted to work out," she explained. "Obviously you want to work out because you want to be hot or whatever. I never wanted to work out because I feel like I literally didn't care about my body. I didn't care if I was healthy. I didn't care if I was strong. And then when I was single, I was like, Oh no, I have to stay alive. You know?"

Embracing a New Workout Routine

Paige shared that she "never" thought she would be able to get into a routine, but it came rather easily to her. "I've been working out three times a week and I haven't even thought about it," she said. "It was just very empowering for my own self to see like, Oh, I thought I'd never be able to quit that, or I thought I'd never be able to start that up. And so then when you're doing it naturally you're like, Wait, I'm way stronger than I was giving myself credit for.'"

Navigating Single Life in Her Thirties

On a January 14 episode of Giggly Squad, Paige also shared that being single in her thirties has been a bit "weird" for her. The last time she was single, she was in her late twenties, and hitting the town was much easier. "We're not in our twenties anymore, so not that you can't be single like you were in your twenties, you can do whatever you want, but it's almost like you don't want to be," she said. "When I got single at 28, I was like, 'Catch me at every single club that exists in New York City,' and I was there. You could find me in a club. Like, I'd literally pass away. So, it is weird thinking of, 'What am I going to do being single?'"

While she hasn't been hitting the clubs, Paige has been enjoying dinners with her girlfriends and attending events like a New York Knicks game and a Philadelphia Eagles game.

Finding Motivation and Inspiration

In the past, Paige has quipped of her fitness: "There's no diet, there's no plan." However, she does have certain exercises that she loves. In 2020, Paige told E! News: "My go-to work out is P.Volve, I've gone to their classes for years and now I stream them at home. I try and work out at least 3 to 4 times a week even if its for only 30 minutes. Its all about strengthening and elongating your muscles. It's my favorite!"

Paige has also been exploring new workouts, such as aerial yoga. She shared an Instagram post showing highlights of life recently, including pictures and video of herself wearing black and white workout gear, giggling with a pal as she attempted the tricky moves.

Prioritizing Self-Care and Mental Health

Paige emphasizes the importance of self-care and mental health in her overall well-being. She treats her beauty routine as self-care, stating, “Beauty has become so much more of a mental health moment for me than it is something vain,” she told PopSugar. “For me, a Sunday-night shower is a whole therapy session,” she says. “I love hair oiling my hair once a week, so I do that on Sundays, and I do my exfoliating and a full shave of my legs because [to me] that’s self-love.

DeSorbo loves to meditate while she showers. “Instead of listening to music, I’ll put on the Calm app and listen to a guided meditation while I’m showering, or I’ll go on Spotify and play spa sounds that make me feel like I’m in an actual spa,” she told PopSugar.

She also shared her approach to handling adult acne breakouts, saying, "My best advice is that it’s okay to be frustrated on the days you’re frustrated,” she told Byrdie. “It’s okay to not want to wear makeup and just be completely over it and go somewhere barefaced and be like ‘this is what my skin is.’ I felt way more empowered once I felt comfortable being like, whatever. This is what my skin looks like. There is definitely light at the end of the tunnel.
