Lisa Barlow of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is known for her strong opinions and willingness to share her likes and dislikes. This candor has made her a memorable and quotable figure on the show, as well as a target for her castmates. From her love of Diet Coke and Wendy’s nuggets to her discerning palate when it comes to pizza, Lisa Barlow knows what she wants and isn't afraid to express it.
A Diet Coke Devotee and Fast Food Fanatic
Lisa Barlow's affinity for Diet Coke is well-documented. Her love for the beverage is such a signature trait that Whitney Rose even joked about it, saying she couldn’t tell you five facts about Lisa other than she loves herself, she loves Diet Coke and she now works at Wendy’s. Lisa's devotion to Diet Coke is unwavering.
Beyond Diet Coke, Lisa is a self-proclaimed fast food enthusiast. "I would send myself dozens and dozens of Wendy’s nuggets with lots of barbecue sauce and I would be dipping nonstop," she shared. "I would have french fries as a side." This love for fast food is a recurring theme, with Lisa even admitting that her household DoorDashes daily, often ordering fast food. She doesn't cook at all, she said. So she will DoorDash ingredients. She’ll be in the middle of making something and she’s like, oh my gosh, we don’t have this or that. So she always DoorDashes that. But she thinks they’re pretty standard, regular DoorDash people where they’re getting fast food.
Healthy Habits (Sometimes)
Despite her love for fast food and Diet Coke, Lisa does incorporate some healthy habits into her routine. She starts her day with a banana, a practice instilled by her mother. She also makes sure to have a green smoothie every day. Lisa said she does have a hotspot in Draper, Utah, that she goes for all of her green drinks. So she has one green drink a day to counterbalance everything else. For real, though. I’m not kidding.
Pizza Preferences: New York vs. Italy
Lisa's culinary preferences extend beyond fast food, particularly when it comes to pizza. She has a strong preference for New York-style Italian pizza over authentic Italian pizza. "There are some great places in Sardinia that I will go to," Lisa said. "But if you’re just cruising around Italy and you want real pizza, like no thank you, I don’t want your pizza."

She explained that it doesn’t taste the same to her as New York Italian pizzas which she grew up on. “Like New York Italian, I’m all for. But Italy, Italian? No, thank you. I don’t like it.
This preference highlights Lisa's attachment to the flavors of her upbringing and her unwillingness to compromise on taste, even when it comes to a classic dish like pizza.
Authenticity and Conflict
Lisa's strong sense of self and her willingness to express her opinions have made her a polarizing figure on RHOSLC. She admits that she is super polarizing. But she thinks when you’re resolute in how you feel about something, she’s not wishy-washy. She listens to the facts. She formulates her opinions based on hearing both sides. She does listen to both sides even though some people wanna pretend she doesn’t, she does listen to both sides. She uses her intuition and figure things out.
She has faced conflict with multiple cast members, including Whitney Rose, Angie Katsanevas, and Bronwyn Newport. These conflicts often arise from disagreements over Lisa's character and actions, with accusations of narcissism and manipulation being thrown her way.
Lisa maintains that she simply defends herself and refuses to admit wrongdoing when she believes she is innocent. She can admit when she’s wrong and everyone’s like, she can never admit when she’s wrong, but how am I supposed to admit to Whitney I’m wrong? I didn’t do what you’re accusing me of doing. I’m not gonna be like, “oh, I’m so sorry, please forgive me.” I’m not gonna cop to something I didn’t do. And I think that that’s hard for them, but they go with the same things. Like “Lisa needs her minions…” I’m a Sagittarius, I’m doing my own thing. If I don’t like you, I cut you off and cauterize, like we’re done. So I think those narratives get really old. You can tell that they’re definitely talking off camera and coming up with ideas of how they’re gonna get me. But they fail every time.

Lisa also values her friendships, particularly her bond with Meredith Marks. She is also open to new friendships, expressing admiration for other Housewives like Sutton Stracke, Garcelle Beauvais, Lisa Hochstein, Ashley Darby, Erin Lichy, and Sai De Silva.
