Structural Integration
Structural Integration $150 for 90min Session times can vary, please allow for 90min each time, but could take 60min. Ten sessions recommended but not required. Three sessions are suggested as an introduction or for maintenance. Structural Integration is a type of work used to assist in aligning and balancing the body by working the connective tissue surrounding the muscles. Also known as fascia. Reorganizing the fascial layers helps the body with tension, stress, holding patterns, and old injuries. Resulting in fluidity and ease of movement. How is it different from massage? First, there are clothing requirements. Then there are lighting differences, client movement/ participation, being asked to walk for an assessment, and turning to various face up/down and side to side positions on the table more than a typical massage. Also, the results will stay in your body. Regular maintenance is best for massage results. Structural integration sessions do not require any maintenance after the completion of the work. I personally received this work in 2019. My experience is that I am significantly more comfortable in my body. My chronic lower back pain is gone because my knee surgery no longer inhibits my hips.

Scar work: Scar work is generally used to help improve feeling and functionality in the scar and surrounding tissue. Creating better movement between the layers of the skin, fascia (connective tissue) and muscle. Treatments stimulate the circulation, lymphatic and nervous system to encourage renewed healing and promote tissue health. ScarWork uses a light, casual touch, is rarely painful, and the amount of change in one intervention is extensive. Producing scar tissue is a normal part of our body's response to trauma. The problem is that the substance which mends also leaves behind tension, restriction and disorganization. As scar tissue matures it begins to pull and drag on surrounding areas and even organs can also be affected. With this type of ScarWork we see lumps, gaps, ridges, holes, bumps, knots, and strings in the tissue rapidly smooth out into a three dimensional fascial web. Starting with surface layers, going further into involved viscera which often reduces nerve-impaired numbness and results in large, whole-body shifts and trauma resolution. This reduces swelling, tightness and numbing. Improves general overall tissue function. Helps restore natural appearance. Is fast, painless and permanent.
TMJD (Temporomandibular joint dysfunction): Can include grinding or clenching your teeth. Which puts a lot of pressure on the joint, and movement of the soft cushion or disc between the joint. This can create arthritis in the joint, and stress, which can cause you to tighten facial muscles.
Therapeutic foot massage: The therapeutic foot massage helps you to relax, loosen the ankles, lengthen the calf muscles, loosen plantar fasciitis, and create space between the metatarsals- which can alleviate pinched nerves in the foot. An added bonus is that this technique also helps alleviate restless leg syndrome.
