She admits her daughter has called her out for not cooking one at home recently, even though she is a good cook.Waddingham embraces a balanced approach to food, enjoying flavorful meals and not depriving herself.
Waddingham's Fitness Routine
Waddingham doesn't consider herself a "gym bunny," but she does incorporate physical activity into her life. She previously shared that she's not a ‘gym bunny’, but there is something she does regularly to stay fit: boogie boarding. In an interview with IMDb, she said: ‘I’m a demon boogie boarder. I’m brilliant.’ While studies show boogie boarding (also known as bodyboarding) is an effective full-body hybrid workout, building both muscular and cardiovascular strength, Ted Lasso star Waddingham doesn’t do it for her physical appearance.
Boogie Boarding
She enjoys boogie boarding, which provides a full-body workout that builds both muscular and cardiovascular strength. Boogie boarding involves lying prone on a small, foam-based board and riding waves. Paddling works cardiovascular health and endurance, while balancing strengthens the arms, legs, back, and core. The mobility required to catch waves also provides a good stretch. According to the American Council on Exercise, a 150lb (or 68kg) person can burn up to 400 calories per hour while bodyboarding. Other research by the University of Portsmouth found that cold water swimming, as involved in bodyboarding, can improve cardiovascular, cognitive and muscular function, while reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety. And a recent study on 1114 women found that cold water swimming may help alleviate menopausal symptoms, with 46.9% of participants reporting reduced anxiety, 34.5% reduced mood swings, 31.1% reduced low mood, and 30.3% fewer hot flushes.
Past Fitness Regimen
She had a back problem affected her mental health quite badly. Before that, having been a dancer her whole life, she did ‘Pilates, reformer Pilates, and band work - using your own weight is great for the female form’. Boogie boarding also falls under the bodyweight bracket.

Body Positivity
When asked by Glamour whether she feels pressure to look a certain way as she has become more famous, she said: ‘I would not say pressured. I am, and will always be, very proud not to be a skinny Minnie. It's just not how I'm built. And I'm a mother, so I'm not a big gym bunny.’
Waddingham's Skincare Routine
Waddingham is passionate about skincare and believes in taking care of her skin. She emphasizes the importance of a consistent routine and using products that work for her skin's needs, especially as she approaches perimenopause.
Cleansing
Waddingham always double-cleanses, alternating between Eve Lom Cleanser and Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. The balm feels like it’s giving you a bit of a face massage and helping with lymphatic drainage. I use that with a hot cloth, which helps me feel-as the mum of a six-year-old-that I have a minute for myself. And then I always use the Elemis Superfood Facial Wash just to get off any residue of the balm. I also like Emma Hardie’s Moringa Cleansing Balm. She feels like it’s good to switch up products.
Lymphatic Drainage
After cleansing, she uses a gua sha stone with Hayo’u oil for lymphatic drainage. She uses it every morning and night for one minute. to film, I hold them under my eyes and sweep up under the cheekbones, under the jawline, and then the forehead. Otherwise I look like Mr. Magoo in the morning.
Serums and Oils
She is obsessed with True Botanicals-I can’t rave about them enough. They are just a beautiful, ethical brand and not horrifically expensive. The Radiance Oil and the serum-you could just use those and be good to go. Because as soon as you put a couple of those drops in your hand and rub it together and then press, you’re like, “I am benefiting from this.”She also uses The Ordinary’s “Buffet” serum, sometimes the one with copper peptides. For her vitamin C serum, she likes La Roche Posay’s, because it’s nice and light, and it gives me a slight tingle without feeling like it’s too much.

Moisturizing Creams
At night, she always uses Créme de La Mer in that beautiful glass pot. She also likes the ceremony of it all, with the warming of it between your fingers and pressing it into your skin. She wears so many makeup looks during the day on Ted Lasso that by the time the night comes, she wants her face to have a proper drink. For something a little lighter, she uses the Elemis Pro-Collagen Night Cream, when I feel like it needs a bit of settling. And I love Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream line, especially the night cream.
Facial Sunscreen
She uses the Georgio Armani UV Maestro SPF50 Skin Defense Primer Sunscreen. And it’s brilliant. It doesn’t feel like you’re wearing sunscreen, because some SPFs make you feel like you’re wearing a film. So in the summer I pair it with bronzer and mascara, and I’m good to go.
Supplements
She uses The Beauty Chef, which is a beautiful collagen-boost concentrate that I put in with my water. And every day I take zinc and immune-support capsules, plus magnesium for fatigue and tiredness, as well as a multinutrient for age 45-plus.
Embracing Aging
Waddingham is honest about aging and how it affects her skincare routine. She believes in being open about age and sharing what works for her.
