The BMI decreased 0.1 kg/m2 in the group treated with the probiotic and increased 0.2 kg in the placebo group, without reaching statistical significance (difference of 0.3 kg/m2, p = 0.065). Body weight decreased 0.3 kg in the probiotic group and increased 0.5 kg in the placebo group (p = 0.058). The waist circumference decreased significantly (0.6 cm) in the probiotic group and increased 0.2 cm in the placebo group (p = 0.013).
