Ainsley Earhardt's Approach to Diet, Exercise, and a Balanced Life

Ainsley Earhardt, co-host of FOX & Friends, has captured the attention of millions of Americans not only for her engaging on-screen presence but also for her commitment to a healthy lifestyle. Balancing a demanding career with motherhood, Earhardt prioritizes her well-being through mindful eating habits, regular exercise, and a strong spiritual foundation.

Early Morning Routine and Faith

Earhardt's day begins around 3:00 a.m. with her alarm. After checking on her daughter, Hayden, she prepares for the day. Her morning routine includes reading her "Jesus Calling" daily devotion and listening to hymns on the way to work, highlighting the importance of her faith. At the office, she drinks hot ginger tea and reviews the news to prepare for the show.

Diet and Nutrition

Ainsley Earhardt is known for her healthy eating habits. She avoids fried foods and soda, preferring to drink plenty of water. Although she skips breakfast, she focuses on nutrient-rich meals throughout the day. She told Haute Living in 2018, she's a pro at packing veggies into her meals, and her daughter, Hayden, also enjoys them. Earhardt's diet consists of staples like green beans, grilled chicken, and organic ground turkey. She prepares turkey meatballs with zucchini instead of spaghetti, topped with Parmesan cheese. She also takes pre-natal vitamins for a few months before she tried to get pregnant and continued that through the pregnancy. After she had Hayden and she just needed to lose some of the baby weight, she really took to eating healthy and make smoothies. There is a smoothie that she loves that is all organic - bananas, strawberries, peanut butter, coconut water, ice.

Indulgences in Moderation

While Earhardt generally maintains a healthy diet, she allows herself occasional indulgences like pizza and pasta, with attempts to make those choices healthier. She avoids excessive sugar intake, aligning with the American Heart Association's recommendations. When she craves pizza or ice cream she try to stay away from those foods.

Overcoming Cravings

Earhardt advises that initially, it is hard because you crave those foods, but after a few weeks, you stop craving them and it becomes much easier. You will find that you start to enjoy the healthy choices and that you can go to bed without the guilt.

Southern Roots and Culinary Preferences

Growing up in Columbia, South Carolina, Earhardt developed a love for Southern cooking. She enjoys sharing her home recipes on "Fox & Friends," such as grilled flounder with sliced tomatoes and grits. She appreciates the flavors of Southern cuisine but prefers not to use spicy foods. Instead, she focuses on ingredients that add depth of flavor, like pimento peppers, which she incorporates into dishes like Southern pimento cheese.

Exercise and Fitness

Ainsley Earhardt tries to work out three times a week and attend various workout classes around the city after the show. Sometimes she’ll go to Equinox, Orange Theory, or Barry’s Bootcamp… I like to mix it up. She also committed to doing something every day to maintain good posture. I’m a bit obsessed with the negative effects of being on my phone and laptop all day, so I try to counter that with yoga or stretching, as well as a 10-minute meditation in the evening before dinner, if I can fit it into my schedule.

Balancing Work and Motherhood

Earhardt's schedule revolves around her daughter, Hayden. She wakes up early and usually take a nap during the day when my daughter is asleep. I usually nap with her or find a time during the day when she has a class. I usually take her to all of her classes but sometimes end up napping during her classes and have the babysitter take her. I just always try to have some time to get a little napping, maybe an hour or an hour and a half.

Prioritizing Family Time

Despite her demanding work schedule, Earhardt prioritizes being present for her daughter's activities. She tries to work around my daughter’s schedule so that I can go to classes with her. I really try to be present for all of her classes. She takes pretty much a class everyday.

Skincare

I use a lot of products. I use lotions and creams on my face and wash it every night and every morning. I eat healthy and I do not have a lot of problems with my skin because of that, I think. I love cocoa butter creams. The Queen Helene is my favorite. I found that prevents dry skin. I definitely used a lot of cocoa butter cream - every single day to prevent getting stretch marks.
