They present the potential benefits of working with Dignity Weight Center and answer all questions. It’s an encouraging, consultative approach. Weekly Monday morning visits help clients start each week, reviewing progress, tracking goals, and kicking off the week with a positive outlook. Each week, a given meal is tackled: breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and then the more technical aspects of good nutrition and diet at the ingredient and macro level are reviewed. The approach is always consultative & never judgmental. Each weekly visit is an encouraging & educational mix of interpersonal pleasantries and factual, scientific & medical advice, information, and written resources. The materials presented in the visits are always forwarded post-visit for continued reference. Resources such as meal-planning, actual recipes, exercise, and nutritional info are quite valuable in efforts to manage weight and meals.

OWL Program
Children and their families first complete a comprehensive evaluation in clinic by meeting with a medical provider, either a physician or nurse practitioner. If a family chooses to enroll in the OWL Program, they will then meet with their nutritionist and psychologist frequently for six months. They will also be seen by their medical provider every three to six months; specific timing of each appointment may be affected by staffing and scheduling constraints. After the initial period, ongoing care will be individualized for the patient and family.

Key Components of Effective Weight Loss Programs
Nutritional Guidance
Dietary modification is a primary treatment. A low glycemic index eating plan is frequently recommended to help improve blood glucose levels, appetite, energy level, and overall health. Depending on individual needs, other dietary approaches are available.
Behavioral Support
Behavior medicine consultation helps maximize the effectiveness of the medical and nutrition guidance offered. Individual and family sessions with a psychologist focus on developing healthier habits for everyone at home. Small goals are established, progress is made step by step, and strategies are developed to address challenges. Psychologists also discuss how emotions are related to your child’s health. Here at the OWL Program, we believe in the value of a strong support structure.

America's Best Weight Loss Clinics & Centers 2025 Methodology
Newsweek and Statista are partnering for the first time to name America's Best Weight Loss Clinics & Centers 2025, recognizing 200 facilities across the country that have helped people achieve healthy, sustainable weight loss. This list was determined by a national survey of medical professionals with knowledge of weight loss, including bariatricians, bariatric nurses and general practitioners. Each participant provided names of the top facilities they would recommend outside of their own, also assessing four quality dimensions - staffing, equipment, patient-centered care and patient safety. In addition to the survey, this list considers Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program accreditations.
Participants were asked to name the leading weight loss clinics and centers. The professional experience of the participant was taken into account. Recommendations for their own employer were not allowed.
For each recommended facility, participants were asked to rate four quality dimensions on a scale from 1 ("Poor") to 10 ("Excellent"):
- Provision of care and patient safety
- Patient-centered care (education, counseling and support services)
- Overall nurse staffing
- Technical equipment
A quality dimensions score was assigned to each facility based on the weighted average of these ratings. The quality dimensions constitute 15% of the total score. The Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) is a voluntary accreditation program by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). Accredited facilities receive 5% towards the total score.
