When medications go on a shortage list, compounding pharmacies are able to compound all of the ingredients that consumers specifically need into medication. I have been and always will be concerned with the quality of the compounding pharmacies that we conduct business with. I make sure that our compounding pharmacy not only has a third-party lab inspection, but it is also inspected monthly by the Board of Pharmacy (of its respective state). Right now, GLP-1s can be compounded, and we would like all current & prospective patients to know that when the medication goes to a third-party lab, it is tested for purity, pH, and other levels before it is shipped to us. Please keep in mind that sometimes there can be a delay (due to a backup of the third-party lab for testing purposes), but you can be assured we will not accept any medication until it has been fully inspected. Please also know that our medical team of doctors and nurse practitioners can prescribe name brand weight loss medications, if so desired.
