Taya Valkyrie, a prominent figure in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), has captivated audiences not only with her wrestling prowess but also with her dedication to fitness and health. Her journey encompasses rigorous training, mindful dieting, and a strong focus on mental well-being. This article delves into the various facets of Taya Valkyrie's approach to maintaining her peak physical and mental condition.
Valkyrie's Views on Wrestling and Career
Valkyrie views her wrestling career as a dream come true, comparing it to Charlie's golden ticket in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." She emphasizes the years of hard work and dedication it took to carve her own path in the industry, especially coming from a background with limited support. This perspective fuels her commitment to maintaining a high level of physical fitness.
The Importance of a Personal Trainer
Recognizing the need for expert guidance, Valkyrie relies on a personal trainer to structure her workouts and diet. She told Mint Condition Muscle that she "immediately got a trainer because I knew that that was, especially if I was going to, as I started wanting to do competition, I didn’t know even where to start. Back in the day, it was a lot harder to get information about this kind of stuff if you don’t know where to even look for it. So I remember asking a friend who had done a fitness competition before about how she got into it. And so I went and met with Nathan Harwood, who’s still a very good friend of mine who still is one of the top coaches for WBFF, and he basically was the first person that I went to who introduced me to proper workouts. I was nervous and stuff, but I never, I don’t know, I didn’t overthink it. I think that that comes because I was 18 years old and I just didn’t know any better. You’re innocent and don’t know what you’re walking into." This decision was crucial, especially as she aimed to compete, and she sought professional advice to navigate the complexities of fitness and nutrition.

The self talk was so negative and I felt like I was spiraling internally. I started to really take a look at myself and had to turn it around,” she wrote on Instagram. “I worked first and foremost on my mental health, really learning how to cope. A lot of this I had internalized and didn’t share with ANYONE. But slowly, I started to turn things around for myself. It began my year of healing and getting my confidence and motivation back. Because it was LONGGGG GONE. Now fast forward to last night when I took this photo. Holy crap, I did that. I’m the happiest I’ve been in years. My confidence and motivation is back, my hair is growing again and honestly, nobody can tell me shit. I somehow look younger and feel it too! Our bodies and minds are insane.
