She returned to Nashville determined to prioritize her health, recognizing that she had been pouring everything into her fans and shows while neglecting her own needs.
“The past year might not have been my biggest career year, but it was my biggest ‘me’ year,” she says proudly.

A Turning Point
Priscilla Block is opening up about one of the lowest points in her life, a moment she says sparked the dramatic weight loss fans have noticed over the past year. Speaking with Taste of Country Nights host Evan Paul, Block shared that while 2025 hasn’t been her biggest career year, it has been her biggest “me” year. The turning point came in 2023, when she says she simply didn’t feel like herself.
“Two years ago, I was in New Zealand and I had a full come-to-Jesus meeting with myself and Jesus,” Block recalls. “I was like, ‘I’m going back to Nashville and I am going to take a hold of my life - mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, all the things.’”
She shared that her weight had become a heavy burden on both her mental and physical health, so she began working toward losing weight to get herself back on the right track. The “Thick Thighs” singer hit a major milestone at Christmas 2024, explaining, “I’d never run a mile in my life. This past Christmas Day, I ran a 5K. I’m challenging myself to do things that are really freaking hard, and I feel as strong as I’ve ever been - mentally and physically - right now.”
She added, “This past year has not been my biggest career year, but it has been my biggest ‘me’ year. Just by taking care of yourself, you see so many parts of your life enhance.”
A Word of Advice
Priscilla Block has likely received tons of advice from various individuals while climbing up the ladder as a county artist. There was this one night in Nashville before she ever got signed or anybody really had any clue who she was. There was some switch that kind of flipped with him that night. And I don’t know if it was because I was kind of questioning him, like ‘oh, well, who do you work for? Plus, despite Elvis’ advice, it’s safe to say that Block has been able to build a very successful career just by being her authentic self.
