She recalls an incident on an airplane when a flight attendant offered a seatbelt extender, not to her, but to the passenger next to her. The cramped conditions and the realization that she barely fit in the seat served as a wake-up call. This experience motivated her to prioritize her health and make a change. "I said, you know what? It’s time for me to do something. I’ve got to fly on planes, because I’ve got to travel so I said, you know what? This is it. I’m going to try something different and that’s why I decided to go ahead and do the detox."

The Detox Journey

Love embarked on a detox journey, sharing her experiences on "The Dr. Oz Show." She described feeling sluggish and unlike herself, prompting her to seek a change. She emphasized that her detox was a "wonderful journey." The core of her detox involved four days of consuming raw fruits and vegetables. She advised others to load up on whatever raw produce they enjoy, while also stressing the importance of drinking plenty of water. "The whole core of it is for four days. Four days of raw fruits and vegetables. Go to the store, load up on whatever you like to eat as long as it’s raw. That’s it. Make sure you drink a lot of water."

To make the detox more enjoyable, Love suggested adding fruit to the water for flavor. She also emphasized the importance of listening to your body during a detox and making gradual changes. "For me, I like crunch. You need to listen to your body if you’re going to do a detox. Take your time, make little changes," Love said.

Celebrating Milestones: 40 Pounds Down

In a recent update, Love proudly announced that she had lost 40 pounds. As the audience members began clapping, she said, “To date it’s 40 pounds. I still a ways to go, don’t get too happy. It’s still a ways to go and - you know what? - I want to be a role model. " She shared a side-by-side picture of herself, highlighting the transformation she had achieved in a few months. Her famous friends, including Sherri Shepherd, AJ Johnson, Amber Riley, and Yvette Nicole Brown, showed their support in the comment section.

During the Oct, Love said to the host and her good friend Sherri Shepherd, “Look at this, I can cross my legs now. I love it I can cross my legs now."

Love added, “Body positivity is not about weight, it’s about being able to live no matter what size you are, but you care about your weight. You care about your health." The Intimate Benefits of Weight Loss

Loni Love has also openly discussed the impact of her weight loss on her intimate life. She revealed that losing 30 pounds helped her "get her groove back in the bedroom!" She explained that before losing weight, certain sex positions were physically challenging. "It’s just better when I have somebody a little less… more less weight than me, then if I got somebody that’s like bigger than me- cause I got to hold his stomach, I’m holding my stomach,” she told her co-hosts. "It was only one position I could do because of my um - breath was getting cut off, when I tried to like lay on my back, because my stomach was in the way."

Continued Motivation and Future Plans

Love acknowledges that her weight loss journey is ongoing. “To date I’m down 37 lbs ( still a long way to go) .." She remains motivated and continues to inspire others with her openness and determination.
