In an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Lil Wayne shared his eating habits and approach to fitness.

A Personal Chef Since 19

Lil Wayne revealed that he’s had a personal chef since he was 19 years old. “When I was 19 I moved to Miami and my mom is a chef and she was very happy for the move because New Orleans is crazy,” he explained. “One thing she really wanted me to do was get a personal chef,” he continued. “So from the age of 19 to now, I’ve always had a personal chef.”

Wayne emphasizes the importance of a balanced diet with plenty of vegetables in every meal. “Every damn meal got veggies. Every. Damn,” he says.

No Fast Food Since 19

Lil Wayne hasn’t eaten fast food in over two decades. “I ain’t ate fast food since I was 19, and I’m 42 now,” he stated. He doesn’t even recall the smell of McDonald’s. “Fast food? I ain’t smelled McDonald’s since ’99, fam,” he said. He simply doesn’t eat fast food. He also doesn’t have cheat meals or cheat days. “I don’t eat fast food. I don’t cheat meals. Ain’t no cheat days over here,” he affirmed.

He emphasizes that it's not a quick fix. “Ain’t no cheat code. Ain’t no fast food. It’s you. You the code. You the gym. You the weight.”

Wayne emphasized that weight loss wasn’t a New Year’s resolution. “I learned early, when I was 19, you can’t be living like a damn teenager forever.”

When asked if he hits the gym, Weezy said, “Only gyms I know is Jim Jones.” He admits, “I can’t lift a weight. I don’t even try. I can’t lift a weight, Zane. I can’t.” He finds his workout in discipline and control. “Discipline is my gym, homie. Control is my workout,” he declared.
