Keto Candy Cane Martini

This keto candy cane martini is perfect for a holiday party and easy to make. It's creamy, sweet, and has the vanilla and peppermint to create that candy cane flavor, yet it’s sugar-free and low-carb!

Ingredients

  • Unsweetened almond milk
  • Heavy whipping cream
  • Peppermint extract
  • Vanilla extract
  • Swerve sweetener
  • Absolut vanilla vodka

Ingredient Notes

  • Almond Milk and Heavy Cream: These form the base of the cocktail. Unsweetened almond milk is low in calories and carbs but adds a bit of milky consistency. You can substitute with your favorite dairy-free milk, but note the different carb counts. Coconut milk is a good substitute for both almond milk and heavy cream but might add a bit of coconut flavor.
  • Swerve Sweetener: Confectioners or powdered Swerve sweetener blends best in this recipe. You can use your favorite sweetener of choice.
  • Absolut Vanilla Vodka: Most Absolut flavored vodkas have no carbs, but some other brands do. Research your brand of vodka if you buy another brand. Also, peppermint vodka or schnapps most likely has added sugar and would not be low-carb.
  • Flavor Extracts: Flavor extracts add flavor but not sweetness, therefore having little calories and no carbs.

Instructions

  1. To make the keto red sugar to rim the glass, mix granular Swerve sweetener and a pinch of salt with a few drops of red dye. Mix well.
  2. Wet the martini glass rim with water or another liquid, then roll the rim of the glass in the red sugar mixture. Let dry completely before making the cocktail.
  3. Pour over the prepared martini glass with the crushed ice and serve.

This holiday martini is simple, low-carb, and delicious, with only 1g net carbs and 168 calories.

Ingredients

  • Real pumpkin puree
  • Pumpkin pie spice
  • Torani Sugar Free Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup
  • Heavy cream
  • Vanilla vodka

Ingredient Notes

  • Torani Sugar Free Syrups: These keto-friendly syrups have a wide variety and taste great. If you don’t have any syrup, you can use a sugar-free simple syrup, brown sugar sweetener, SweetLeaf vanilla stevia (liquid), or even sugar-free maple syrup.
  • Pumpkin Puree and Pumpkin Pie Spice: Use pure canned pumpkin, not the canned filling, which has a lot of sugar. The spice is a combination of warm spices (cinnamon, ground ginger, nutmeg, allspice, and ground cloves).
  • Heavy Cream and Vanilla Vodka: Heavy cream adds to the drink but if you are dairy-free you could use coconut cream or coconut milk. Most Absolut flavored vodkas don’t have carbs.

Instructions

  1. Add the pumpkin puree, spices, Torani Sugar Free Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup, vodka, and a little water to a cocktail shaker cup.
  2. Pour a tablespoon of heavy cream on the top of each glass and let it seep down.
  3. Add whipped cream on top if you want. You could also sprinkle some ground cinnamon on top to add a little color or a couple of cinnamon sticks for garnish.

This recipe makes 2 servings. Double or triple the ingredients to make these drinks for a holiday party.

To Make a Slushy: Use the same ingredients except the water and use ice instead. Add the pumpkin, spice, vodka, heavy cream, Torani syrup, and 1 cup of ice to a high-speed blender. Blend on high until nice and slushy.
