The Star: Keto Chicken Crust
You’ve probably heard of fathead pizza crust and cauliflower pizza crust. But when it comes to crusts, this keto chicken pizza crust can’t be beat! Using Chicken as the crust, this is the best low carb pizza you could ask for. That is the beauty of this pizza crust. It is made from ground chicken. Making this crust is super simple. You just combine the ingredients, bake, then add your toppings. The benefit of meat is that it’s practically carb-free. In my opinion, you can get more creative with a keto chicken pizza crust. Chicken is pretty bland, more so than ground beef. This low carb pizza crust is exactly what it sounds like.
Ingredients for the Chicken Crust:
- Ground chicken
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
Making the Chicken Crust: Step-by-Step
- Preheat oven to 375°F or 400°F (depending on the recipe variation).
- In a large bowl, mix together ground chicken and mozzarella. Form into a ball. Add the crust ingredients in a large bowl and mix until well-combined. Form the mixture into a ball.
- Place a sheet of parchment paper down on a flat surface and place your "crust". Line a pizza pan with parchment paper, place the ball on it, and cover it with another sheet of parchment paper.
- Place another sheet of parchment paper on top of the crust and roll out into a round circle. It should be about 1/2" thick. Then, you simply roll out the crust to your desired pizza shape. I strongly recommend rolling it out between two sheets of parchment paper. It really is so simple! Roll the crust out into a large circle. Remove the top piece of parchment paper. If any crust sticks to the top sheet, just scrape it off with a rubber spatula and add it back to the main crust.
- Place crust on parchment paper on a baking tray and bake for 20-25 minutes, until crust is brown and loses its moisture. Bake meat crust in 400°F oven for 20-25 minutes or until top is browned. You want to keep an eye on your chicken crust to make sure it doesn’t overcook. When baking, keep an eye on it starting at the 20 minute mark.
Creamy Ranch Sauce: The Flavor Booster
I wanted something different and not the typical tomato-based pasta sauce. I always enjoy tomato-based sauces, but in this case, I wanted to try something with ranch. If there is anything I like more than pizza, it’s ranch dressing, so it makes sense to combine them. For this recipe, I also included a creamy ranch-inspired sauce that goes perfectly with the tomato and bacon.
Ingredients for Ranch Sauce:
- Sour cream
- Mayonnaise
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Dried parsley
- Dried dill
- Salt
Instructions for Ranch Sauce:
- While the crust is cooking, make the ranch, by combining all the ingredients and whisking until incorporated and brown the bacon. Combine sauce ingredients in medium bowl.
- Mix together the sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, dried dill, and salt in a bowl to make the ranch sauce. Whisk until mixed well.

- Remove crust from oven and flip crust over on pan then remove parchment paper from top. Once the meat is browned, remove it from the oven. Flip the crust over, removing the parchment paper so the crust is directly on your pan.
- Spread about ½ cup of the sauce on top of the pizza crust, then sprinkle ½ cup of cheese over it. Return the crust to the oven. Spread about half of the sauce onto the pizza crust. Sprinkle the crust with half of the cheese, then add the bacon, and diced tomatoes. I love the flavor combination of the ranch sauce, bacon, tomatoes, and cheese.
- Sprinkle on bacon and diced tomatoes. Sprinkle the remaining ½ mozzarella cheese on top.
- Return pizza to 400°F oven and bake for about 10 minutes. Once you add your toppings and return the topped crust to the oven, watch it until the cheese is melty.
Serving and Storing
Reserve the extra ranch for dipping your chicken bacon ranch pizza into! Wait until you taste this chicken bacon ranch pizza. With a chicken crust, it is everything you want in a pizza without the carbs.
Storage Instructions:
- In the refrigerator, this Chicken Ranch Bacon Pizza will last up to 3 days. If you find that you have extra pizza, you will want to wrap the pizza in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and place it in the refrigerator.
- If frozen, let the pizza thaw in the refrigerator. If you want to make this crust or even the complete pizza ahead of time, you can freeze it. You will make the crust first and then free it after you have added the topping. If you are making this as a freezer meal, do not bake the pizza. Wrap it in plastic wrap before baking.
Variations and Tips
There are many things you can add to this chicken ranch pizza. It’s superb the way it’s written, but I totally understand if you want to try out a few other variations on Keto Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza too.
- Cheese: You can use a variety of cheeses like mozzarella, provolone, or Colby Jack.
- Veggies: Chop or slice some red onions, bell peppers, or green onion and sprinkle on the pizza. It adds some gorgeous color and flavor too. If you don’t like red onions, yellow onions would also be a great choice too.
