High Vibration Diet: Benefits, Foods, and Recipes for Elevated Well-being

"Everything in life is vibration," as Albert Einstein famously said. Your individual vibration is your divine signature, the unique essence of your soul. It's a reflection of your thoughts, emotions, beliefs, choices, and how well you care for yourself and others. When your vibration is high, you experience a sense of vibrancy, joy, and connection to your higher self.

Understanding Vibrations and Emotions

Emotions exist on a vibrational scale. Emotions like depression and despair resonate at the lower end, while hopefulness, joy, and love resonate at higher frequencies. Cultivating self-awareness allows you to recognize where you are on this vibrational spectrum and take steps to elevate your energy. Higher vibrations bring clarity, peace, and the ability to attract positive experiences.

The Connection Between Food and Vibration

The food you consume significantly impacts your physical health and energetic vibration. Whole, plant-based foods, rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, nourish your cells, promote optimal function, and elevate your energy. A high vibration diet consists of eating foods that are natural, organic, whole, colorful, vibrant, and alive. These foods have more light and less density, making the diet healthy, energizing, satisfying, and nourishing.

Many things influence your vibe, including the foods you eat and how they're sourced, prepared, and enjoyed. Although raising your vibes sounds "woo-woo," it's based on quantum physics. Everything that exists has its own vibration, frequency, or energy signature. Eating a high vibe diet encourages you to eat more natural, unprocessed, whole foods. High vibrational meals connect you with yourself and what your body needs to heal. The more you raise your vibes, the more it raises the vibes of others and this planet.

The highest vibration is that of Universal Love/God/Source. This is the most healing and loving energy. The more you align your vibes with this spiritual energy, the more connected you'll feel to yourself, your life, others, and beyond.

High Vibration Foods to Include in Your Diet

Here is a list of high vibration foods to incorporate into your diet:

Leafy Green Vegetables

Lettuces, kale, cavolo-nero, rocket, cabbage, broccoli, chard, spinach and sprouts are bursting with high vibration energy. Because they literally "grow toward the sun" you’re literally eating the energy-giving life force of the sun. Greens are such a great way to increase your body’s vibrations as their energy is “almost pure sunlight.” They are rich in chlorophyll, which oxygenates the blood and supports cellular health. Especially eating your greens in the winter gives your body that boost of vitamins C and A. If you really can't bear leafy veggies, a great alternative for you is to fill up on other dark green powerhouse foods like super green powders and adaptogens.

Fresh Berries

Blueberries, Strawberries, Blackcurrants, Goji berries, cranberries are also full of good vibes, and nature's candy - natural sweetness. All fresh fruits are fabulous and will boost your vibration, but berries are at the top of my list for a few reasons. They’re low in sugar which is great for people struggling with unbalanced blood sugar. They’re also super high in antioxidants, which have lots of benefits, including helping to boost your immune system and reduce inflammation. You can get the many benefits of berries in powder form. Although, you don't get the much-needed fibrous parts of the fruits, single or multi-berry juices are also a great way to get their benefits.

Sprouts

You can sprout almost any seed, bean or grain. Sprouts are super high in protein (up to 35% of a sprout is protein) and rich in enzymes which help your body do all of the amazing stuff your body does. They’re also full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Sprouting also gives beans, seeds and grains an extra health boost by neutralizing the phytic acid in these foods. Phytic acid is an element that binds with nutrients so that your body can’t access them!

Fresh Herbs

Herbs are some of my favourite high vibrational foods! Not only do fresh herbs make our food taste fantastic which boosts your enjoyment and energetic vibration while you eat anyway, but many of them have powerful healing properties. For example, coriander or cilantro as it’s known in the Americas, is an excellent detoxifier while rosemary has lots of great antioxidants. And one of my favourite Italian herbs, oregano has a natural oil that supports health with its antimicrobials, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Spices

For thousands of years people have been using spices as a delicious way to raise the energetic vibration of food. Turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, garlic, black pepper and cayenne are just a few spices that are full of powerful healing properties, and they can help with everything from digestion to blood sugar balance and even arthritis!

Beans & Legumes

Beans and legumes are great sources of plant-based protein, making them a great addition to a high-vibrational diet. They're full of fibre and folate, and research shows they can help reduce the risk of heart disease.

Nuts & Seeds

Raw, unsalted nuts and seeds also make the list of high vibration foods for plenty of reasons. Not only are they a great source of protein and fibre, but they also contain healthy fats like omega 3s that your body (and especially your brain) need to function properly.

Blue Green Algae

Blue green algae’s like moringa, green tea, spirulina, macha and chlorella are among the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet which make them super high vibration!

Fermented Foods

When I say ‘fermented foods’, I'm referring to those that preserve the "gut friendly" bacteria from the fermentation process which can be used by our bodies to improve our gut health. Foods like sauerkraut, apple cider vinegar, organic miso, kimchi and kombucha. There's no denying the importance of gut health to our overall health and well-being. In fact, a large part of our immune system is related to gut health. Our gut (digestive system) is home to a whole ecosystem of bacteria. Some are “good” and help your body stay healthy and others are “bad” and - if allowed to overgrow - can contribute to many poor health conditions like allergies, eczema, joint pain, fibromyalgia, depression and even cancer.

Teas

They're loaded with powerful antioxidants, natural healing and health-promoting properties that make them one of the best very high vibration foods! Green and white teas are full of powerful anti-oxidants to support your immune system and fight inflammation. Herbal teas like chamomile, valerian and passionflower are calming and can help you relax and sleep better. Some other teas like lemon balm, passionflower, and tulsi can help to calm you, which ends up protecting your energetic field. Teas like licquorice, neem and slimline teas are also great for cleansing.

Beetroot

Rich in nitrates, the vegetable when ingested, is converted into nitric oxide, a compound that improves blood flow and reduces the risk of heart attacks or strokes. Multiple clinical trials have shown that beetroot can indeed reduce blood pressure and enhance athletic performance. The increased blood flow facilitated by beetroot could also help keep the brain younger.

Sweet Potato

Did you know that just one sweet potato gives you 102% of the vitamin A you need each day?! This helps keep your eyes healthy as well as your immune system, your body's defense against viruses and germs! It's also good for your reproductive system and organs like your heart and kidneys. Research has also found that the dietary fiber in sweet potatoes is good for gut health. One study found that the dietary fiber in sweet potatoes can even act as a prebiotic. Sweet potatoes are also high in beta-carotene and are one of the only plant foods that supply biotin. Your body needs biotin to metabolize carbohydrates, fats, and amino acids, the building blocks of protein.

Hydration

Proper hydration is essential for maintaining energy flow and cellular function. Herbal teas, like chamomile or mint, offer a soothing way to stay hydrated.

Mindful Eating for Self-Awareness

Practicing mindfulness during meals can amplify the vibrational benefits of the foods you eat. Here are some tips to incorporate mindful eating into your routine:

  • Pause Before Eating: Take a moment to breathe deeply and express gratitude for your meal.
  • Chew Slowly: Savor each bite, paying attention to flavors and textures.
  • Listen to Your Body: Eat until you feel satisfied, not full. Notice how different foods make you feel after eating.
  • Eliminate Distractions: Avoid multitasking during meals. Create a calm, dedicated space for eating.

Practical Steps to Cultivate Self-Awareness

Self-awareness extends beyond your plate.

  • Journaling: Reflect on your emotions, thoughts, and goals. Writing can help you uncover patterns and identify areas for growth.
  • Movement: Gentle exercises like yoga or walking outdoors can ground your energy and reduce stress.
  • Energy Medicine: Techniques such as guided visualizations, energy balancing, or chakra alignment can help release stuck emotions and enhance your overall well-being.
  • Rest: Prioritize quality sleep to allow your body and mind to recharge.

Additional Tips for a High-Vibrational Lifestyle

Remember - sometimes It’s not just about the food! The hard part about raising your vibration can be the emotional and mental stuff that gets in the way!

  • Think Beneficial Thoughts: One of the BEST things you can do to raise your vibe is to develop a healthy relationship with food. Thoughts and words vibrate, so be mindful of what you put out. What you eat might be healthy, but your thoughts can make it unhealthy. Use PSYCH-K to reprogram limiting beliefs, perceptions, and fears around food to think more constructively and raise your vibration.
  • Bless Your Food: Slow down, eat mindfully, and bless your food before you eat. Send love and gratitude to your food and all the work it took to get it on your plate. Set an intention such as, "I eat slowly and mindfully as each bite nourishes me on all levels." You can also set an intention for the energy you wish to absorb. Your thoughts, emotions, and even your hands can influence energy.
  • Go Outside: Spend more time outside to raise your vibration. Being in nature, breathing in fresh air, and soaking up the sunshine is a great source for recharging your life force energy. You can boost it even more by going barefoot. You might find that you’re less hungry in nature because you absorb more natural energy outside. In contrast, being inside, especially in front of technology, can deplete energy. You might feel extra hungry after sitting in front of a screen for a couple of hours.
  • Good Vibes: A high vibration diet goes beyond what you eat. Be careful of what you ingest from other sources, including people, the news, and social media. Stay aligned by focusing on beneficial vibes like gratitude, joy, love, and kindness. Practice patience, forgiveness, empathy, and compassion towards yourself and others.

Low Vibration Foods to Avoid

While integrating high-vibration foods into your diet is beneficial, it’s equally important to be aware of low-vibrational foods that can negatively impact your health and energy levels.

  • Deep Fried Foods: Food battered in bread and fried in oil, as delicious as it is, isn’t good for you.
  • Alcohol: In excess, alcohol can negatively affect your liver health and overall energy levels.
  • Excessive Coffee: While coffee isn’t bad per se, inorganic coffee is highly acidic, and high levels of caffeine can have a negative effect on your health and vibration.
