Launching a Business During Challenging Times
“Ironically my circumstances helped me finally pull the trigger,” Kloots said. “I have been wanting to do something online for awhile, but I was stalling myself. It was never the right time, or I didn't have a good space, film crew, hair and makeup, lighting and sound. I thought it had to be perfect. When quarantine hit, the world changed. Suddenly the need to have perfect videos no longer seemed like what was important. People just craved content and connection. I had some videos saved and I again took a leap of faith and just put it all together and launched a susbscription series. I wanted to do something that was super affordable, very easy to do at your home or anywhere and something that anyone could be a part of.”

I have tried to listen to my followers and hear their needs in order to stay healthy and committed. I think I offer a program that supports positivity, happiness and progress and I look forward to hearing what people want and creating more content to uplift the AK membership base.”
Tips for Starting a Fitness Journey
Harney: What are some tips for those who want to get started on their fitness/exercise/healthy diet journey? Amanda: My tip is to not put too much on your plate. Focus on one thing at a time and do that really well. If it's your workout, find something you love to do so that working out becomes something you look forward to instead of dreading. If it's your diet, be consistent and figure out works best for your body. Not every diet works for everyone. We are all different. Harney: What are some tips for those who want to get started as professional trainers or those who want to begin teaching workout classes? Amanda: Just start! I was really scared when I started training, but one thing I learned is that you keep getting better.

One of my mantras that I have always believed, but even more so now-I believe fitness should be something you look forward to doing. We are so lucky to be able to move our bodies, to get out of bed, stand on two feet, to run, to jump, to skip to smile! Never take one day for granted.”
