Ribeiro's Weight Loss Revelation
Stepping onto the "DWTS" stage alongside co-host Julianne Hough, Ribeiro, 52, surprised the audience with his new appearance. Before the season kick-off, the actor opened up about his health journey.
"And I've lost 20 pounds, so now I'm like, 'Oh, I think I might look a little better when they ask me to do some of the little dances in the opening numbers.' So you know, I am ready to rock," the star told People in August. "It should be a fantastic season," he added.
The Repair Bite Diet
The DWTS Season 19 winner revealed his eating regimen in order to achieve his goals. “It’s called a Repair Bite Diet. It’s designed to basically shore up your gut and your stomach lining,” the TV personality told Us Weekly on Wednesday, September 4.
“Twenty pounds, one month. No gym,” he added. “That’s how you do it.”

The Tick actor added that the foods allowed in the dietary program are “basically not inflammatory,” allowing the body to slim down naturally without any additional effort.
Family's Health-Conscious Lifestyle
Before his revelation about his special diet, Ribeiro gave only a few details about his lifestyle changes.
He previously talked about his wife, Angela Unkrich, 43, and her enthusiasm for healthy eating, which she shares on Instagram.
He also shared how his family changed their diet eight years following a health condition with one of his kids. "He had a health issue and we learned how to feed him," he shared.
He added, "We live a completely non-toxic life where we don’t eat any sugar, gluten-free, corn-free, dairy-free, oats-free, anything that makes you swollen, we typically stay away from."

Ribeiro's Food Preferences
The Love Wrecked actor previously gave insight into how he keeps in tip-top shape. “Weirdly enough, [my favorite snack is] fruit,” the Dancing With the Stars host, 53, exclusively reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly. “I will snack on fruit as often as possible.
“I am a huge grass-fed, beautiful rib eye kind of guy,” he shares of his favorite meal. “So I’m sure a steak dinner would be my No. Ribeiro adds that his wife, Angela Unkrich, typically prepares him a steak for his special birthday meal. However, on the couple’s first date, Ribeiro didn’t opt for a traditional steak dinner. “My first date with Angela, we went to a restaurant called Mr. Chow’s,” he recalls. “I ordered the chicken satay … Mr. “Chicken as a kid, [I] didn’t like it … obviously, [I] eat it now,” he tells Us. Ribeiro confesses that he ended up trying chicken after not having it for a certain amount of time. “Somebody put a good one in front of me, and was like, ‘Oh, this is good,’” he reflects. “I’m right now trying to be healthy. So there’s not a lot of comfort food in the game,” he tells Us. “But, I love my burgers. “You can do anything you want with it,” he said of the mac and cheese brand. “You can put bacon in it, you can add whatever you want in it.
